Some devices stopped working

Hi
The app has been working fine but now some wemo devices have stopped responding. I can control the devices from the ios app and they work fine.

The status window says "error getting state" as below

I have tries resetting my router etc as well as your app.

Any Ideas?

If WeMo and the port changed, it should find the new port when the device is toggled. If the device has received a new IP address from the router, you would need to add it again. Strange that this happened to 3 devices at the same time, though. For my WeMo devices, I have them set with DHCP reservations in the router to always assign the same IP.

Hi, I thought about adding the devices again but when I try this it only detects the devices that work and the missing 3 do not get found. But they all work fine from the ios wemo app. I also reset the wemo devices but you app still does not find them. Any other ideas?

Ensure that the wemo is on the same LAN. Try setting the router DHCP reservations for your wemo devices.

Is there anything unusual about your network? Are you using multiple subnets?

Check your connected clients on your router. Can you see your wemo devices here? What happens if you try to add the wemo to the app manually using the IP address?

I reserved new addresses in my router for all devices then removed all devices from your app and added them again. It added all but one automatically and I added the missing one manually by IP address.

All good again now! All working well.

Please let me know if you add scene control to the menu bar in the future

Steve, I implemented your request for scenes in the menubar already. You may just need to update from the app store / adjust the slider at the bottom of the menubar control (there is a new option)

Thanks for the update. It would be great if the scenes could be displayed at the top of the device list like the groups can. This would make it easier to use the scenes with less clicks
